When I think about the perfect version of my life, it doesn’t involve a high paying office job, not having to work for a living or a luxury car. Instead it’s full of yarn scraps, the sound of a sewing machine at all hours of the day and quiet squeaks under the table, demanding my attention at the worst moment possible.
Wiggly Tails
In my ideal world, Wiggly Tails is more than just a side hustle; it’s a community hub. I imagine spending my mornings in a sun drenched studio, designing handmade pet accessories that reflect the personality of every pup and help solve the strangest of the problems that pet owners encounter. Whether it’s a stylish crochet bandana or a unique gift for a fellow dog obsessed human, every piece is made with the intention of celebrating the bond we share with our four-legged family members.

I would like this side hustle to turn into my full time job at some point, which would allow me not only to say that I achieved my dreams of being a full time maker, but also allow me to spend more time with my dogs.
Bridging the Communication Gap
The most profound part of this dream, however, isn’t about what I’m making – it’s about how I’m listening. We all wish we could talk to our dogs – in my culture it is believed that animals can talk during Christmas Eve. Unfortunately I have never experienced that, but in my ideal life, I’ve mastered the art of communicating with them. I have a particularly special mission: helping my anxious dachshund Stasia.

I would love to be able to make her understand that she’s safe, I will take care of this “dangerous” encounter with a strange object or a large dog. I would also like to reassure her that even though I will be gone for a minute, an hour or couple of them, I will be back and she doesn’t have to stress about it.
Even though we are working on it, it’s been a long struggle to deal with an anxious, reactive sausage dog. We have better and worse days but I think it would better her quality of life if she wasn’t worrying that much about regular “life stuff”.
Finding My Pack
An ideal life isn’t lived in a vacuum. I want to connect with you – person who understands that a dog isn’t “just a pet,” but a family member. I want to share stories of late night sewing sessions, the struggles of “Velcro dogs” and the pure joy of a successful tail wiggle. That’s why I created this blog in the first place.
My “ideal” isn’t a destination; it’s a lifestyle rooted in empathy, creativity and a whole lot of dog hair 🙂
